Physiotherapy plays a major role in restoring movement and functions along with the prevention of risk factors related to physical dysfunctions. Physiotherapists are consulted concerning the physical problems of patients, in particular, those associated with neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, cardio-respiratory systems and women’s health. Physiotherapists make a physical diagnosis within their scope of practice, the aim is to identify and diagnose the specific components of movement dysfunction responsible for the patient’s physical problems. The therapeutic modalities used by physiotherapists include movement, massage and manipulation techniques together with the application of electro-physical modalities.

Candidates belonging to all categories for admission to the B.P.T Degree course should have passed the higher secondary examination-12th with the following subjects: Physics, chemistry and Biology/Botany and Zoology. Candidates who have studied abroad and have passed the equivalent Qualification as determined by the Association of Indian Universities Will form the guideline to determine the eligibility and must have passed in the subjects: physics, chemistry, biology (Botany/Zoology) and English up to 12th standard level.
